delhi.Swaraj India organised 5 road shows and 2 on-site visits with locals on the last day of campaign for MCD elections. Early morning at 6am Yogendra Yadav, National President Swaraj India reached Shakarpur Land Fill site and Pandav nagar dumping site along with councillor candidates, local residents and Swaraj India volunteers, all dressed in Basanti clothes. Yogendra Yadav explained Swaraj India manifesto for clean delhi and how segregation of garbage is important to get rid of illegal dumping grounds in Delhi.
Yogendra Yadav then proceeded on foot towards Dilshad Garden. A simple footwalk turned into an impromptu Padyatra with Swaraj India volunteers blowing whistles in Basanti clothes in full enthusiasm.
Yogendra Yadav then proceeded onto a road show in Ashok Nagar, Model Town Lal Bagh, Badli Bhalswa, Bawana and Rajauri Garden. In all the road shows and Padyatras, Swaraj India candidates were welcomed by the residents and whenever the party manifesto was explained, it was welcomed and appreciated. At all the places the local residents enthusiastically participated in the road show. Whistles have become a brand for Swaraj India in these MCD elections and Basanti clothes add to the overall enthusiastic atmosphere in Swaraj India road shows.
Swaraj India candidates and volunteers are in high spirits at the end of campaign for MCD elections. The overwhelming support for Swaraj India road shows today is an indication of lack of alternatives in Delhi MCD. Congress and BJP have been mired with corruption and AAP has been overdramatic in its promises and politics. Residents of Delhi need a #SaafDilli to live and Swaraj India is committed to provide them with a #SaafDil.
