 DELHI.The high octane campaign for MCD elections by all parties is about to end. The campaign for MCD elections to conclude at 5pm on 21st April. In light of this, Swaraj India has declared to end it’s election campaign in a unique manner. Party’s campaign on Friday will focus completely on “Sanitation”. Yogendra Yadav’s last day of election campaign shall focus on the reasons of the pathetic state of cleanliness of Delhi.
Party’s National President, Yogendra Yadav will begin his campaign at 5am on 21st April. After public interaction with morning walkers in Laxmi Nagar Parks, Yogendra Yadav will reach Dilshad Garden. Swaraj India’s candidate from Ward 35E, Professor Maheshwar Dutt, has converted a landfill site into a beautiful park here. Through a public outreach program in this park, Yogendra Yadav will be committing to convert Delhi into a Garbage free city on the model realized by Prof Dutt.
After Dilshad garden, Yogendra Yadav will be conducting a roadshow from 9am in Ward 36E Ashok Nagar in support of Swaraj India’s candidate, Anju Panchal. This roadshow will be covering areas in the ward that are left to stink under heaps of garbage and filth.
After this, Yogendra Yadav will address a public meeting near the Bhalswa Landfill site, in support of Swaraj India’s candidate from Ward 20N, Mohammad Yasin. Delhi is marked by high landfill sites that have reduced the National capital into a huge garbage center. Swaraj India has worked on solutions to reduce and ultimately end these huge heaps of garbage. Through its election manifesto released on 14th April, the party has shared a detailed program and blue print to achieve this objective.
Around 12 noon, Yogendra Yadav will reach Lal Bagh area in Model Town Assembly. Lakhender Mahto is the Swaraj India candidate from Ward 76N Lal Bagh. Nobody seems to be bothered about the fact that this Ward reeks of garbage and filth. Yogendra Yadav will be carrying the party’s message of “Saaf Dil, Saaf Dilli” to the residents of the area.
Swaraj India’s candidate from Bawana Ward 30N, Minatullah Aalam, was attacked on Wednesday night with bullets fired on his car. Yogendra Yadav is scheduled to reach Bawana at 2.00pm and lead a protest rally against hooliganism. He will also appeal the local citizens and Alam to continue their fight against liquor mafia.
Swaraj India’s focus during the campaign will be on the problems and solutions to the serious issues of garbage, pollution and cleanliness in Delhi. Swaraj India has given a call for “Saaf Dil, Saaf Dilli”. The party has raised a serious concern on the issues of Cleanliness and Environment in Delhi through the MCD poll campaign.
