‘JAIPUR DESIGN SHOW’  WILL BE THEMED ON ‘ARTISANS REINVENTED’ THIS YEAR

Jaipur, 25 August: The second edition of ‘Nine Dot Squares’ — The Jaipur Design Show will be held from September 22 to 24 this year. To be held at Diggi Palace, the theme of the show this year is ‘Artisans Reinvented’. The initiative aims to create an accessible platform for the artisans, academics, design professionals, product developers as well as design enthusiasts.

The event will exhibit innovative products and services echoing the theme of this year. The work of eminent artists and design professionals who have contributed significantly to the design vocabulary of India will also be showcased.Going with the name, Nine Dot Squares will have 9 major highlights this year which includes ‘Chai & Chat Sessions’, ‘Installations’, ‘Craft Trails’, ‘Trends Lounge’, ‘Exhibition’, ‘Bamboo’, ‘Startup Pavillion’, ‘Oral and Visual Craft Tradition’ as well as ‘Live Art & Craft’. Various workshops on arts and crafts like Black Terracota, Aainakari, Tarkashi, Miniature Paintings, Blue Pottery, among others will also be held.Ritu Khandelwal, Co-Founder and Promoter of the Jaipur Design Show says, “It is my intrinsic desire to help recognize, appreciate and reinvent the vast and rich art and craft traditions of our country in my work. Designers across India are doing amazing experiments with the Indian visual language. We need to share and learn.”
