Supreme Court to hear today in verdict right to privacy

DELHI. SWARAJ ABHIYAN FILES PETITION IN SUPREME COURT FOR GRANTING DROUGHT RELIEF TO FARMERS OF TAMIL NADU: PRESIDENT PRASHANT BHUSHAN MEETS AND HANDS OVER PETITION TO PROTESTING TAMIL NADU FARMERS AT JANTAR MANTAR AND PROMISES FULL SUPPORT AND LEGAL ACTION. Swaraj Abhiyan has filed a Petition in the Supreme Court, seeking to add Tamil Nadu in the  ongoing Drought Relief PIL and for extending the historic food, water, schooling, employment, fodder and debt relief directions of the Court to farmers and rural populations of Tamil Nadu. Swaraj India President Prashant Bhushan, Jai Kisan Andolan National Convenor Avik Saha and Swaraj Abhiyan Vice President Christina Samy from Tamil Nadu met and handed over a copy of the Petition to the protesting farmers from Tamil Nadu and promised full support and legal action. Prashant Bhushan expressed hope that the Supreme Court will consider the prayers of Tamil Nadu Farmers and relief will be granted soon. Jai Kisan Andolan Secretary Prabhat Singh takes charge of looking after all needs of the protesting farmers at Jantar Mantar. Swaraj Abhiyan will lead a Yatra to drought affected districts of Tamil Nadu to do on-spot survey and to stand beside all suffering farmers. Swaraj Abhiyan has filed a Petition, seeking to add the State of Tamil Nadu as a party to the ongoing Drought Relief PIL in the Supreme Court and has prayed that all reliefs granted to 10 states that had suffered drought in 2015-16 be extended to Tamil Nadu. This includes universal distribution of food grains under Food Security law, provision of nutritional mid day meals to students with eggs or milk, serving of mid day meals during summer vacation, expanding the work availability under Rural Employment Guarantee law, provision of fodder camps for protection of livestock, keeping loan repayment in abeyance, payment of crop loss compensation and granting of fresh crop loans.
