FICCI-MRSS Study on ‘Rajasthan A True Land of Culture and Heritage’, Encourage travel writers, bloggers and reviewers, Promoting film tourism in the State
Offbeat travel destinations
Jaipur: Encouraging travel bloggers and reviewers to write about different States in general will help in broadening peoples’ minds due to the stories and photos they will post. These writers will also encourage others to travel and share their experiences. Through digital interventions like blogs, social media platforms and magazines people can be encouraged to move out of their homes and travel extensively. This has been suggested to boost inbound tourism in the FICCI-MRSS Study on ‘Rajasthan a True Land of Culture and Heritage’ which was released by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ms. Vasundhara Raje on Sunday.

The State Government has already made several attempts to encourage bloggers and travel writers to write about Rajasthan. Familiarization tours have been hosted for international bloggers on the luxury train, Palace on wheels. Similarly, writer delegates of JLF have also been taken on FAM tours in Jaipur.

Other than this, the report also recommends promoting film tourism in the State, given the number of films shot here. This form of tourism can be defined as traveling to various destinations for the purpose of film promotion, travel film tourism and film induced tourism. International and domestic tourists have begun to increasingly prefer traveling to unconventional destinations. The infrastructure, ethos and culture these places offer, add to the exclusive travel experience of the tourists. In Rajasthan destinations like Bundi, Bhainsrorgarh, Jojawar, Longewala, among others can be considered for unconventional travel destinations.

Furthermore, greater coordination between different Departments; continued innovation in the digital world and involving & engaging the local community in providing inclusive growth to tourism resources in the State has also been suggested in the report.
